I'm telling you this so you won't go all doe-eyed when they warm up pre-game. They are going to be big, and they are going to be strong. You have to decide right now that you are going to hit them hard, no matter how big and tough they are. We need players who want to hit their heads against other people, who want to sacrifice themselves, and who want to take their aggression out on other people. We need people who have the courage to confront things that stand in their way. Isn't that the only way to live? . . . On a lighter note, take a moment to write a very brief email to this man, Bill Bunting: [email protected] He is the man who donated the box of pretzels to our team. write "Thank you for the pretzels!" in the subject line, and write, "Dear Mr. Bunting," introduce yourself (I play guard on the football team at High School of the Future . . . ), and then just write a quick thank you. You can tell him we lost, and how you did in the game, etc. Make your message brief and personal.
