Gammy's Mid-Year Check-In (Writing Wednesday)

Write a letter to your grandmother informing her of what your plans are for the rest of the year and after high school.

Type a 1-2 page letter (email me), or on Loose Leaf Paper, write a 2-3 page letter. Here are some ideas to include:
Picture
Present: How you are doing in school. What your plans are to improve. What your most difficult challenges are. Which teachers are the most helpful or harmful. How things are going at school, in general. How the school can improve. How you can get honor roll. How school is much different, and has different challenges than before.

Future: Where you have applied and been accepted. What are the schools and career paths you have chosen. Why you chose those places or career paths. Where you plan to go and why? Are you staying in Pennsylvania, or in Philadelphia? Why or why not? Struggles with her child (your parent). What her child needs to improve on.

Hierarchy: Explain how you have figured out how society and careers are organized. Tell her which hierarchies you can do well in, and perhaps attain the highest level of.

Happiness: Explain how you plan to be happy.

Late Assignments:

Classroom lectures are often presented on EdPuzzle, but all necessary links are posted on Google Classroom.

Assignments are due at 11:59 pm on due date. Unexcused lateness of assignments will be penalized at 10 percent per day late (for example, an assignment that is two days late will have a maximum grade of 80, or B-). After 9 days the assignment is worth zero points. Learners are welcome to submit assignments more than 9 days late as Merit Assignments, but not for class credit.
